How do chiropractic treatments work?
Your body has a powerful self-healing
ability. The body's structure (with the spine in a central role) and its function are closely related and this relationship affects health. Therapy aims to normalize
this relationship between structure and function and assist the body as it heals.
Your nerves transmit messages and sensations
from the brain to all parts of the body. Spinal pressure can cause a variety of ailments. Chiropractic treatment can relieve nervous disorders
by spinal adjustment, releasing pressure to permit normal nerve activity.
What kind of treatments does the chiropractor give?
A chiropractic treatment consists of manipulation of the spinal column and/or extremities to relieve the pressure on the nerves, which are causing pain or impairment of normal body functions. A chiropractic adjustment is another word for manipulation.
Other Treatments Include:
- Acupressure
- Hernia Treatment
- Occupational Medicine

once the bone is moved off the nerve that it is pinching but different patients have different pain thresholds. Some patients use therapies like ice or heat prior to the chiropractic adjustment to loosen up the surrounding muscles and assist in making the adjustment more comfortable.
